Hi, there.

I do apologize for asking a stupid question but, although
I look here every once in a while, I am not a regular
subscriber.

I wonder if somebody can point me to a place where I can
find glibc-0.961212-1o.src.rpm. I have tried a few
obvious places and the best I've been able to
come up with is glibc-0.961212-1h.src.rpm.

Thanks in advance,

Kris

I don't have that, but I used glibc-0.961212-1r for my
latest 8xx embedded libraries. I put the SRPM on the
ppc.kernel.org server, in the embedded directory. You
certainly don't want to use the -1h version.

You need to make a patch to dl-machine.h so you can use
the 8xx copyback cache with dynamic libraries.....different
cache line size. Once I find that patch, I'll post it up
there as well.

Try the obvious search engines, for instance
http://ftpsearch.ntnu.no/ftpsearch; you will find (among others)

ftp://ftp.kddlabs.co.jp/.9/Linux/linuxppc/users/gdt/redhat/SRPMS/glibc-0.961212-1o.src.rpm
ftp://ftp.task.gda.pl/vol/d33/ftp.linuxppc.org/linuxppc/users/gdt/redhat/SRPMS/glibc-0.961212-1o.src.rpm

I didn't find the patch, but I found the file. I put it on
the ppc.kernel.org server in the embedded directory. The changes
are minor, I'm sure you can update any version of the file from
this. Actually, I think that patch would work on any PPC processor,
unless there are some alignment restrictions in the flush_cache
functions called.
