Cort (or anyone else),
Do you know when (if ever) there will be snapshots of the linuxppc_2_5 tree
downloadable via FTP? My Linux box can only connect with a modem, while in
Mac OS I can use ISDN to fetch stuff, and I have to pay per minute over
here. :-(
Thanks,

When we get the 2.5 tree straightened out, I'll make a tarball of the BK tree
and point you at that. After that, BK is pretty sparing in it's use of
bandwdith, moreso than rsync even.
I can also burn you a copy and send it to you on CD if you are really stuck
for bandwidth.

Does bk2.0beta support resuming of clones?

OK, I can wait for that to happen.

I'm quite _that_ stuck / desperate. I'm currently using a week-old snapshot
of 2_4 which runs like a charm.
How close are we to getting a buildable / bootable system in Linus' tree?
Is 2.4.1 just hoping too much?
Thanks,

No, but we will add this if we can't fix the socket problem. We'd really
rather fix it right, the fact that you would ever need the resume indicates
we screwed up. Or, I suppose, that your net connection dropped. Hmm. Maybe
it's worth it.

Yeah. modems get disconnected. firewalls crash. Things happen. :)
