Perhaps they've been listening to my and other rants after all. About fscking
time is all I have to say

http://news.zdnet.co.uk/business/0,39020645,39146677,00.htm

With Intel trailing in AMD's 64bit wake, and Linus using ppc64, perhaps the
age of complacency is over...

Running code in the hands of the people who need it is the only litmus
test for success. To date it isn't available... I can have drivers for a
10Gb/s ethernet card that costs $5000 a pop but for a $30 mini-pci wirelss
card go fish.

I didnt realize Linus had switched architectures. Is he using ppc64 as his
main machine?

Thanks,

Jim

From other mails I've read here, yes. (The lucky bastard.)
