Hello,
Im trying to run libata driver on my Asus A7N8X-deluxe (latest bios
1008) with Sil 3112a controller,
but i'm permanently getting "irq 11: nobody cared.....disabling irq11"
error. After this error computer hangs totally.
I found some info about enabling "Enhanced mode" and "Sata only" options
in bios,
but they are not avalible in my motherboard.
I've managed to chatch some, hopefully, useful info through netconsole.
My kernel config and lspci output are also there. This log was made with
ACPI compiled in,
but there was exactly same problem when ACPI was not compiled in.

ps. these 2 errors with "eth0: BUG!" appeared when I enabled netconsole.

One of the entertaining things about NFORCE2 boxes is
that their PCI interrupts are level/low in PIC mode
and level/high in APIC mode.
I've got an NFORCE2 box, and it works either way,
including putting both ohci_hcd and eth0 on irq 11
at level/low in PIC mode like yours.
But in PIC mode I still get kernel: Disabling IRQ #7,
so something isn't totally happy on this box.
I recommend that you try IOAPIC mode.
cheers,
-Len

CONFIG_X86_LOCAL_APIC=y
CONFIG_X86_IO_APIC=y

Could it be that you just don't have anything important using IRQ 7
(it's parport on my box), while Maciej sees the hang because disabling
IRQ 11 kills his ATA controller?
