Sorry, after reading the documentation I couldn't figure out who to send this
to. ksymoops doesn't seem to have done its job correctly, but I include the
output anyway. The problem seems to have occured during updatedb (creates the
slocate file database), which runs daily as a cron job (and has done so
flawlessly on this machine since installation 2 years ago). The machine is an
SMP i686 machine, all IDE disks, running Red Hat 6.0 (+updates), and has been
running kernel 2.2.18 (compiled by me) since February. The oops causes the
machine to hang completely.

torus:ksymoops (14)% ./ksymoops < ~/oops.txt
WARNING: This version of ksymoops is obsolete.
WARNING: The current version can be obtained from
ftp://ftp.<country>.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/kernel/ksymoops
Options used: -V (default)
              -o /lib/modules/2.2.18/ (default)
              -k /proc/ksyms (default)
              -l /proc/modules (default)
              -m /usr/src/linux/System.map (default)
              -c 1 (default)

You did not tell me where to find symbol information. I will assume
that the log matches the kernel and modules that are running right now
and I'll use the default options above for symbol resolution.
If the current kernel and/or modules do not match the log, you can get
more accurate output by telling me the kernel version and where to find
map, modules, ksyms etc. ksymoops -h explains the options.

No modules in ksyms, skipping objects
Warning, no symbols in lsmod, is /proc/modules a valid lsmod file?

ksymoops did the best it could when fed with data that has been stamped
on by klogd. Always run klogd as "klogd -x" so it keeps its sticky
fingers off the oops report.
