After digging through the archive, it seems that the klogd program doesn't
handle nulls very nicely.  Anyway, by commenting out one of the
initialization printks introduced in the 3c59x driver in 2.4.1, I can run
2.4.1 without having klogd suck up all my CPU time.  The patch is below.
