The problem is with CMOS clock. I have this problem: the kernel doesn't match the right clock time. I have to set my CMOS clock with 2 hours first to view the right clock with: 'date', but if I use date -u it response exactly. How ever when I shutdown machine and I get power on after a bit, for example 15 minutes, I view the clock is 10 minutes back. A time I shuted-down machine I get power on and the clock was very mistakes. About 12 hours back. ********** less /proc/version gives: Linux version 2.4.18-ac3 (root@linux) (gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (release)) #1 ********** less /proc/cpuinfo gives: processor : 0 vendor_id : AuthenticAMD cpu family : 6 model : 4 model name : AMD Athlon(tm) Processor stepping : 4 cpu MHz : 1410.312 cache size : 256 KB fdiv_bug : no hlt_bug : no f00f_bug : no coma_bug : no fpu : yes fpu_exception : yes cpuid level : 1 wp : yes flags : fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca cmov bogomips : 2811.49 ********** less /proc/modules gives: snd-pcm-oss 18540 1 (autoclean) snd-pcm-plugin 14864 0 (autoclean) [snd-pcm-oss] snd-mixer-oss 4924 1 (autoclean) [snd-pcm-oss] ipv6 126100 -1 (autoclean) snd-seq-midi 3136 0 (unused) snd-seq-midi-event 3040 0 [snd-seq-midi] snd-seq 41488 0 [snd-seq-midi snd-seq-midi-event] snd-card-emu10k1 2208 2 snd-emu10k1 21216 0 [snd-card-emu10k1] snd-emux-mem 1216 0 [snd-emu10k1] snd-pcm 30720 0 [snd-pcm-oss snd-pcm-plugin snd-emu10k1] snd-timer 8980 0 [snd-seq snd-pcm] snd-rawmidi 10208 0 [snd-seq-midi snd-emu10k1] snd-ac97-codec 23528 0 [snd-emu10k1] snd-mixer 27524 0 [snd-mixer-oss snd-emu10k1 snd-ac97-codec] snd-seq-device 3788 0 [snd-seq-midi snd-seq snd-card-emu10k1 snd-rawmidi] snd 33056 1 [snd-pcm-oss snd-pcm-plugin snd-mixer-oss snd-seq-midi snd-seq-midi-event snd-seq snd-card-emu10k1 snd-emu10k1 snd-emux-mem snd-pcm snd-timer snd-rawmidi snd-ac97-codec snd-mixer snd-seq-device] soundcore 3588 5 [snd] mousedev 3864 0 (unused) hid 12904 0 (unused) input 3392 0 [mousedev hid] usb-ohci 17896 0 (unused) ipt_limit 952 1 (autoclean) ipt_state 600 2 (autoclean) iptable_mangle 2132 0 (autoclean) (unused) iptable_nat 12952 0 (autoclean) (unused) ip_conntrack 13240 2 (autoclean) [ipt_state iptable_nat] iptable_filter 1704 1 (autoclean) ip_tables 10616 7 [ipt_limit ipt_state iptable_mangle iptable_nat iptable_filter] usbcore 48896 1 [hid usb-ohci] aic7xxx_old 109632 0 (unused) ********** less /proc/ioports gives: 0000-001f : dma1 0020-003f : pic1 0040-005f : timer 0060-006f : keyboard 0080-008f : dma page reg 00a0-00bf : pic2 00c0-00df : dma2 00f0-00ff : fpu 0170-0177 : ide1 01f0-01f7 : ide0 02f8-02ff : serial(auto) 0376-0376 : ide1 0378-037a : parport0 03c0-03df : vga+ 03f6-03f6 : ide0 03f8-03ff : serial(auto) 0cf8-0cff : PCI conf1 a000-a0ff : Adaptec AHA-7850 a000-a0fe : aic7xxx a400-a407 : Creative Labs SB Live! a800-a81f : Creative Labs SB Live!
