It compiled (with the ia64 patch applied) last time I sent David an 
update, which was for 2.5.45 I think.  I'm sure it needs some work now, 
but I've got to upgrade my assembler to a special version before I can 
mess with 2.5.59+ia64.  Now booting is a seperate issue... :)
