Will do.  Why did you not ask this there in the first place?  Sending
email directly to developers isn't the nicest thing to do:

As you sent this to me privately, I take it you didn't read the above
link?

No, nothing is ever "official" :)

The linux-hotplug-devel mailing list has been a good place to discuss
udev stuff.

Russell's site was not working when I received your initial response.  
It is now.  As I mentioned if you search the LKML archives you will find 
that I normally do use the list first unless I know that someone isn't 
subscribed.
