Hi,

I have a this card (see $subj) and cannot make it run in linux.

When I start minicom for ttyS4 it shows it is online but the modem doesn't 
reply to any AT command. This is the output of chat programme:

I tried it in 2.4.21 too but there was no change.
I attach a log from windows where it works fine.
According to this log I set up the speed, data bits, parity etc. in linux 
to the same values but it doesn't help.

Does anyone have the card running under linux ?

Hmm, it seems that we found two ports on this card, one at 0x3f8 and one
at 0x400.  It also seems that there's something odd going on with IRQ3
here, which could be the cause of your problem.

Could you monitor /proc/tty/driver/serial and /proc/interrupts while
you're trying to talk to the card ?

This log seems unreadable - it seems to claim to be a text/plain
ISO8859-1 file, yet it's actually encoded using UTF-16.  I do not
appear to have anything which will convert UTF-16 to standard ASCII.

The same is happening for me with an Option GlobeTrotter GPRS card. For
some reason the PCMCIA utils read the CIS from the card and get
confused, registering two ports instead of one. dump_cis, editing the
CIS to remove the entry that confuses cardmgr, and then compiling the
CIS again helps.
