hm.  Seems likely to attract angry emails due to breakage of out-of-tree
stuff.  Did you consider

static inline int
call_usermodehelper(char *path, char **argv, char **envp, int wait)
{
	return call_usermodehelper_keys(path, argv, envp, NULL, wait);
}

?
