No, there are usually two possible causes of this problem, both of them are not in the kernel: If you try building the module again and the error does _not_ show up at _exactly_ the same place you have a hardware problem (e.g. bad RAM). If the problem does reproducible show up at the same place, it's a bug in gcc.
