I got the following boot output from
uml linux 2.6.14.3 from a x86_64.

After this, the linux task is looping consuming
100% CPU.

Thanks for any help

I did a mke2fs running on a 64 bits (x86_64) system.
Is there a way to specify that a filesystem is for 64 bits?

I am using linux for 64 bits since a couple of days before.
I did not patch the host kernel with skas yet.
Besides performance, is there any other reason to use it?

Are you using a 32 or 64-bit filesystem?

And why it is running in tt mode? CONFIG_MODE_SKAS is disabled?

Yeah, you fill it with either 64 or 32-bit binaries.

UML no longer requires patching the host in order to use skas mode.

It works. I have never really tested tt mode on x86_64.

Cannot get it running !!!
It stops, consuming variable amounts of cpu.
The same configuration works perfectly on a 32 bits system.

You never answered my question about whether this was a 32 or 64 bit
filesystem.

This became a great confusion! I noticed that when
UML crashes, restarting a "previous working copy"
does not work either until a reboot is done (may be
something else could be done ...).

So I decided to start from the scratch ...
I created a disk image with ext2 and a 64 bits gentoo
system (this answers to your question).
Recompiled the kernel (a new copy). Everything
on a 64 bits system. I tried skas and non skas mode.
I'm sending both outputs.
TT mode just crashes.
SKAS mode starts looping somewhere consuming CPU.

The same procedure for 32 bits worked fine for TT mode
only. SKAS mode does not work.

Thank you.
