Hello,
I have kernel with CONFIG_EDD=m and boot stops after "Loading /bzImage .....
Ready", message "Uncompressing Linux" isn't showed. If i unset this option,
kernel boots fine.
I boot it on dual pentium pro (via pxelinux (netboot)).

You can start from here:
"The Linux Kernel Hackers' Guide" http://tldp.org/LDP/khg/HyperNews/get/khg.html
"Kernel Newbies": http://www.kernelnewbies.org
Also, you can seek for these books (some of them avaiable online for free):
- "Unreliable Guide To Hacking The Linux Kernel" (Soft)
- "Understanding the Linux Kernel" (A lot deeper)
- "Linux Device Drivers" (About module coding)
There you can find links to many other place. Also you can search for
webpages using keywords like "Linux Kernel" + ...
