I don't even know what you're talking about.  I can't find the string
'intelcache' in the current version of the kernel.  If you want some help,
the exact error messages would be useful.  These are quite old versions
of GCC, many people are using 4.x versions of the compiler.

No, I don't know anything about NTP, and I'm not a timekeeping expert in
general.
