Subject: [PATCH 02/16] tracing: protect ring_buffer_expanded with trace_types_lock
Date: Thu, 12 Mar 2009 22:37:06 -0400 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20090313023825.294064533@goodmis.org> (raw)
In-Reply-To: 20090313023704.971438367@goodmis.org
[-- Attachment #1: 0002-tracing-protect-ring_buffer_expanded-with-trace_typ.patch --]
[-- Type: text/plain, Size: 1334 bytes --]
From: Steven Rostedt <srostedt@redhat.com>
Impact: prevent races with ring_buffer_expanded
This patch places the expanding of the tracing buffer under the
protection of the trace_types_lock mutex. It is highly unlikely
that there would be any contention, but better safe than sorry.
