The other advantage of the vger lists is they are hosted in a place where the EU's insane Data Protection Act (or maybe it's an insane interpretation of the Data Protection Act --- I haven't seen any other EU based list be subscriber-only based on some claim that the Data Protection Act required it) doesn't apply. - Ted
