Subject: [RFC tg_shares_up improvements - v1 08/12] sched: update shares on idle_balance
Date: Fri, 15 Oct 2010 21:43:57 -0700 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20101016045119.059187452@google.com> (raw)
In-Reply-To: 20101016044349.830426011@google.com
[-- Attachment #1: sched-tg-update_shares_on_idle_balance.patch --]
[-- Type: text/plain, Size: 675 bytes --]
Since shares updates are no longer expensive and effectively local, update them
at idle_balance(). This allows us to more quickly redistribute shares to
another cpu when our load becomes idle.
