Subject: [RFC][PATCH 09/19] tracing: Rename ftrace_output functions to trace_output
Date: Thu, 14 May 2015 11:13:24 -0400	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20150514151919.370956054@goodmis.org> (raw)
In-Reply-To: 20150514151315.746637810@goodmis.org

[-- Attachment #1: 0009-tracing-Rename-ftrace_output-functions-to-trace_outp.patch --]
[-- Type: text/plain, Size: 6141 bytes --]

From: "Steven Rostedt (Red Hat)" <rostedt@goodmis.org>

The name "ftrace" really refers to the function hook infrastructure. It
is not about the trace_events. The ftrace_output_*() and ftrace_raw_output_*()
functions represent the trace_event code. Rename them to just trace_output
or trace_raw_output.
