Subject: [PATCH 3.18 20/32] iio: adc: mcp320x: Fix oops on module unload
Date: Tue, 10 Oct 2017 21:50:41 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20171010184827.808159650@linuxfoundation.org> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20171010184827.005589196@linuxfoundation.org>

3.18-stable review patch. If anyone has any objections, please let me know.

------------------

From: Lukas Wunner <lukas@wunner.de>

commit 0964e40947a630a2a6f724e968246992f97bcf1c upstream.

The driver calls spi_get_drvdata() in its ->remove hook even though it
has never called spi_set_drvdata(). Stack trace for posterity:

Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 00000220
Internal error: Oops: 5 [#1] SMP ARM
