Can't you keep this as core_initcall(), for the times when its builtin?
Additionally I believe you should add a call to unregister the driver,
and drop the suppress_bind_attrs.

"GPL v2" per the SPDX?

The last time I tried this [1], I hit a limitation with pm_genpd_remove not cleaning up things right,
is that solved now?

Sure!

So, I sort of took the simple swing here as adding it as a module w/o
a unregister makes it a "permanent" module. It loads but cannot be
unloaded. I know this isn't ideal, but it's also a big improvement
over it being limited to it being required as a built-in. I'll take a
look at it though to see if its workable to be removable.

Ah. Thanks, fixed!
thanks again for the review

As I mentioned to Bjorn, I'll dig into this a bit to see if its
doable, but having it being a permanent/unloadable module is still an
improvement from it being stuck as a built in only.
thanks
