Subject: [PATCH AUTOSEL 6.10 12/16] nvme: apple: fix device reference counting
Date: Sat, 27 Jul 2024 20:47:29 -0400	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20240728004739.1698541-12-sashal@kernel.org> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20240728004739.1698541-1-sashal@kernel.org>

From: Keith Busch <kbusch@kernel.org>

[ Upstream commit b9ecbfa45516182cd062fecd286db7907ba84210 ]

Drivers must call nvme_uninit_ctrl after a successful nvme_init_ctrl.
Split the allocation side out to make the error handling boundary easier
to navigate. The apple driver had been doing this wrong, leaking the
controller device memory on a tagset failure.
