Subject: [PATCH AUTOSEL 6.12 3/5] kbuild: suppress stdout from merge_config for silent builds
Date: Mon, 3 Feb 2025 20:17:51 -0500	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20250204011757.2206869-3-sashal@kernel.org> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20250204011757.2206869-1-sashal@kernel.org>

From: Masahiro Yamada <masahiroy@kernel.org>

[ Upstream commit 1f937a4bcb0472015818f30f4d3c5546d3f09933 ]

merge_config does not respect the Make's -s (--silent) option.

Let's sink the stdout from merge_config for silent builds.

This commit does not cater to the direct invocation of merge_config.sh
(e.g. arch/mips/Makefile).
