checkpatch.pl reports the following warning:
WARNING: Missing or malformed SPDX-License-Identifier tag in line 1
Per Documentation/process/license-rules.rst, add the appropriate SPDX
license identifier to the first line of the C source file using the
'//' style comment. Default to GPL-2.0-only.
