Apply the kernel debugger patch[*], select "APIC and IO-APIC support on
uniprocessors" then "NMI watchdog active for uniprocessors".  Compile,
install, reboot.  When the machine hangs, NMI should drop into kdb
after 5 seconds, 'bt' gives a backtrace.
