Ont just that.
Math (especially descrete algebra) is very importent, just to prove that
an algoritm is correct. Speed is of no importence if the algoritm is
incorrect.
Also courses in parallel programming will be usefull.
But best of all, take cources in operating systems
(And read Tanenbaum's book).
