Martin

Your spam filter looks a little aggressive. Wanadoo is the internet
access service of France Telecom (two thirds of French subscribers).

Yes, double-checked. It reports correctly hdc (ide1) as a CD/DVD-ROM,
hde (ide2) and hdg (ide3). No difference with 2.5.14

<offtopic>
It is also the biggest source outside China/Korea of attacks on ftp
servers. Repeated complaints to wanadoo get no response.

Agressive or not, it is accurate. Maybe those two thirds of
French subscribers should make sure they get sysadmins with
a clue.
