Just to let everyone knows that gcc-3.2 compiled the linux-2.4.20-pre5
cleanly and booted up successfully.

If you recompile glib2.25 after installing gcc-3.2, you'll need to patch
glib2.25 sysdeps divdi3.c.

I compiled linux-2.4.20-pre5 using gcc-3.2,
glibc2.2.5 (build with gcc-3.1.1) and binutils-2.13.90.0.4.

No problems here. (SMP, PIII-800, Intel-BX)

Please mail me the location of the patch for glibc-2.2.5.
