I burn CDs using cdrdao on an ATAPI 32x burner with ide-scsi. I get DMA timeouts and then SCSI reset. I guess it is due to heat problems of the CD writer, as it does happen after about 10 CDs have been burned and then can be repeated by resetting the machine and immediately burning another cd. Nevertheless, the machine runs stable for all other purposes, like kernel compilation and video encoding.
