At that moment it completely freezes. I already tried several variants of kernel konfiguration, unloaded all modules, stopped all daemons and switched to single user mode to have barely more than the kernel, init and a shell running. when suspending to ram or disk (echo -n [mem|disk] > /sys/power/state or echo [3|4] > /proc/acpi/sleep) it goes down nicely with only an annoying backlight on and white screen in mem mode - which i currently ignore because the backlight is switched off anyway when closing the lid. after resume it comes back to the very screen i left off (no matter if X or console) but does not react on any key nor mouse action anymore. here comes the system description: ------------------------- # cat /proc/version Linux version 2.6.0-test10 (mlo@mellon) (gcc version 3.3.2 (Debian)) #1 Tue Nov 25 20:48:42 CET 2003 ----------------------- # sh scripts/ver_linux If some fields are empty or look unusual you may have an old version.
