Even with blowfish instead of AES. I use the util-linux-2.12 (without "pre") and with the losetup-combined.patch (495 lines) from http://www.stwing.org/~sluskyb/util-linux/losetup-combined.patch Then I've tried mkfs with the parameter 10000000 as in: mkfs /dev/loop0 10000000 and it does NOT crash. But with the parameter mkfs /dev/loop0 20000000 It again hangs. Hope that helps... BTW: I've tried the same earlier (2.6.0 and some test versions): same result.
