Hi all,

I recently get oopses with a custom 2.4.26 kernel (freeswan patches and
most of the "safe" netfilter POM stuff), but only on one machine and
never on any other machine.

Tainting is because of the ppp_mppe module, which has a BSD license, but
is not used in this case.

The syslog reads:

So it seems to be somehow related to inet_setsockopt. Since this is a
fiewall, I have limited debugging capabilities on the machine. If
necessary, I might be able to get the ksymoops.

best regards,

  Hello,

(It is my first kernel bug submition, Hope I post to the goo dlist).

I recently compile the 2.4.26 kernel, with gcc3.3.3 and get several
oops. I once suspected a memory problem, but the 3 first passes of
   memtest86 didn't report any problem.

I compiled it with himem (1.5Gb of ram).

   The Oops follows :

ksymoops 2.4.4 on i686 2.4.26. Options used
      -V (default)
      -k /proc/ksyms (default)
      -l /proc/modules (default)
      -o /lib/modules/2.4.26/ (default)
      -m /boot/System.map-2.4.26 (default)

Warning: You did not tell me where to find symbol information. I will
assume that the log matches the kernel and modules that are running
right now and I'll use the default options above for symbol resolution.
If the current kernel and/or modules do not match the log, you can get
more accurate output by telling me the kernel version and where to find
map, modules, ksyms etc. ksymoops -h explains the options.
