Well, the CONFIG_SCSI_QLOGIC_ISP driver isn't supported, and you may have noticed prints big warning messages when you boot with it. Fortunately, the CONFIG_SCSI_QLOGIC_1280 driver has been extended to handle the 1020 and 1040 devices. I've been using that for a while now on my ds10. r~ ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 8+ messages in thread

I'm mooting from the internal disk connected to LSI controller. In any case I'll try out the suggested 1280 right now. Can I build a modular kernel with the 2.6 kernel series ? Are you using a redhat based distro (like suse, mandrake, alpha core or indeed redhat )? Are you using stock kernel, libraries and tools or did you haveto build them yourself ? Debian comes with LVM1 tools that do not work with 2.6 kernels so I need to compile them myself or install some ready build binary package for alpha processor and compatible with the libraries that come with debian3.
