Make sure this is the correct major. You can find it in /proc/devices.

All your commands are failing, oddly enough with "response index
error". I'm not familiar with the AT91 controller, so I'm adding
Nicolas Ferre, the AT91 maintainer, to this discussion.

Please use the very last patchset developed those last days for at91_mci.
