I'm using the 2.6.18 kernel (and I cannot upgrade it), but I need the "k8temp" module which is available only from the 2.6.21 version. Is there a way to use this module on my 2.6.18? Thank you very much! Bye. ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 3+ messages in thread

What is your problem that you cannot upgrade your kernel? Backporting the k8temp is propably more difficult as installing a newer kernel. I think the only thing necessary is adding: #define PCI_DEVICE_ID_AMD_K8_NB_MISC 0x1103 Then the module can be compiled out-of-tree as usual and should work. -Jeff Garrett TeamHPC ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 3+ messages in thread
