Will you be adding this to the e1000 > driver as well? no, from 2.6.25 onwards e1000e will support 82573 nics, so you'll have to migrate drivers, and you will get the fix automatically that way. after 2.6.25 releases, support for all pci-e nics will be removed from the e1000 driver.
