Remarked elsewhere recently that a downside of the new development model seems to be missing opportunity for new editions of books with "all new! covers 2.8!" blurps on the cover. That is, not seeing quality documentation emerge, not seeing mentoring from experienced developers... -- where and how do you want the new developers to come from?
