Hello,

I think I may have found a bug in the functionality of the kernel and
iptables. I am concerned that it may be too sensitive to publicly
disclose the exact details.

Can you please provide me with some guidance on how to provide
additional details in a secure manner?

Thanks,

L2

Submit a mail to developers, and if you really believe a _high_ security
issue exists, to security@kernel.org

But you know, we fix such bugs every day...

List of involved people (if you want to stay private) :

Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
David Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

You can add me too.

Excellent. I'll prepare a writeup of the suspect behaviors tomorrow
afternoon after work. Thank you for the prompt and courteous response.

I apologize for the delay in getting you all the details of my findings.
I plan to complete a writeup on this Sunday and email it to you by
Sunday eve at the latest.

Thanks again for taking the time to respond to my initial email.
