Applied, thanks Jesper.

Can you avoid those "/./" things from showing up in the file paths of
the patches you post?  They upset the GIT patch application scripts
and diff verifiers, so I had to edit them out by hand.

No problem, I actually saw those (an unfortunate biproduct of a script
I used to diff the individual files) and told myself that I should
remember to remove them before sending the final patch, but obviously
I forgot.
