During the boot process I lose my console. When X starts it is recoved.

boot log .....
PCI: Using ACPI for IRQ routing
PCI: If a device doesn't work, try "pci=routeirq". If it helps, post a report
PCI: Bridge: 0000:00:01.0
  IO window: d000-dfff
  MEM window: fe900000-feafffff
  PREFETCH window: f0000000-f7ffffff

>> console stops drawing here

PCI: Bridge: 0000:00:1e.0
  IO window: c000-cfff
  MEM window: fe700000-fe8fffff
  PREFETCH window: f8000000-fc0fffff

My machine has two child buses, AGP and PCI. I am using a PCI video
card at 02:03.0. Only the card on bus #2 fails, the AGP card is ok.
Are you setting the VGA port forwarding bits correctly on the bridge
#2 if it is the active display device?

Can you please do a `dmesg > foo', then compare that with the 2.6.13-rc2
dmesg output, send us a summary of what changed?

It failed the same way under rc2. See this thread: "2.6.13-rc2 hangs at boot".
The difference is that now I know in my case it is not a hang, the
system is still there, I just lost the console.

This is the problem patch:

Good catch. Actually we enable bridge VGA port forwarding for *all*
VGA devices, which is obviously incorrect.
It seems that we could safely drop VGA bits from setup-bus.c.
I'll do some testing and post a patch tomorrow.

Ivan.
