This is the start of the stable review cycle for the 6.15.8 release.
There are 187 patches in this series, all will be posted as a response
to this one.  If anyone has any issues with these being applied, please
let me know.

Responses should be made by Thu, 24 Jul 2025 13:43:10 +0000.
Anything received after that time might be too late.

This is a "regression" in the sense that the warnings are new but it is

Compiles fine for x86_64 with GCC 15.1.1, and runs fine on various physical Intel machines (Ivy Bridge, Haswell, Kaby Lake, Coffee Lake) and in a Skylake VM.
