Pushed with added #define GNU_SOURCE to the top of the lib/safe_macros.c

Hi!
Pushed with a few tweaks, thanks.
I've changed the verify function to reset the effective gid back at the
end of the iteration so that it's changed back and forth with -i N
parameter and changed the test messages a bit.
