I now understand that test speed really depends on the speed of host disc. Instead of trying to calculate precise value for shell, let's just be pragmatic and set high enough value for shell, e.g 30 min or even 1 hour. Because timeout is driven by fsplough.c (C app) anyway. @Martin, please send v2 with TST_TIMEOUT=1800 (or whatever value you consider high enough. I would just try to avoid -1 (unlimited timeout).
