Probably yes. Also 3b832035387f is from 6.13. And I see it backported at least
on 6.12.2 as 13111945c242 [1].

BTW AI asked for enabling it on 7.2, I'm not sure why.

Anyway, we might not need the case > .max_kver || < .min_kver now, but it might
be needed later. But I'd not implement it until really needed.
