The patch titled
drivers/atm/firestream.c: fix unsigned return type
has been added to the -mm tree. Its filename is
drivers-atm-firestreamc-fix-unsigned-return-type.patch
Before you just go and hit "reply", please:
a) Consider who else should be cc'ed
b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well
c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a
reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's

Subject: drivers/atm/firestream.c: fix unsigned return type
From: Julia Lawall <julia@diku.dk>
The function has an unsigned return type, but returns a negative constant
to indicate an error condition. The result of calling the function is
always stored in a variable of type (signed) int, and thus unsigned can be
dropped from the return type.
A sematic match that finds this problem is as follows:
(http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/)
// <smpl>
@exists@
identifier f;
constant C;
@@
unsigned f(...)
{ <+...
* return -C;
...+> }
// </smpl>
