Subject: + vfs-add-__fmode_exec.patch added to -mm tree
Date: Tue, 28 Sep 2010 14:39:46 -0700 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <201009282139.o8SLdksB019368@imap1.linux-foundation.org> (raw)
The patch titled
vfs: sparse: add __FMODE_EXEC
has been added to the -mm tree. Its filename is
vfs-add-__fmode_exec.patch
Before you just go and hit "reply", please:
a) Consider who else should be cc'ed
b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well
c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a
reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's
*** Remember to use Documentation/SubmitChecklist when testing your code ***
See http://userweb.kernel.org/~akpm/stuff/added-to-mm.txt to find
out what to do about this
The current -mm tree may be found at http://userweb.kernel.org/~akpm/mmotm/

Subject: vfs: sparse: add __FMODE_EXEC
From: Namhyung Kim <namhyung@gmail.com>
FMODE_EXEC is a constant type of fmode_t but was used with normal integer
constants. This results in following warnings from sparse. Fix it using
new macro __FMODE_EXEC.
fs/exec.c:116:58: warning: restricted fmode_t degrades to integer
fs/exec.c:689:58: warning: restricted fmode_t degrades to integer
fs/fcntl.c:777:9: warning: restricted fmode_t degrades to integer
