From mboxrd@z Thu Jan 1 00:00:00 1970 From: Gerrit Renker Subject: [Resent][PATCH 1/2] inet6: Conversion from u8 to int Date: Sun, 9 Aug 2009 20:12:48 +0200 Message-ID: <1249841569-23706-2-git-send-email-gerrit@erg.abdn.ac.uk> References: <1249841569-23706-1-git-send-email-gerrit@erg.abdn.ac.uk> Cc: netdev@vger.kernel.org, Gerrit Renker To: davem@davemloft.net Return-path: Received: from dee.erg.abdn.ac.uk ([139.133.204.82]:51966 "EHLO erg.abdn.ac.uk" rhost-flags-OK-OK-OK-FAIL) by vger.kernel.org with ESMTP id S1752541AbZHISNG (ORCPT ); Sun, 9 Aug 2009 14:13:06 -0400 In-Reply-To: <1249841569-23706-1-git-send-email-gerrit@erg.abdn.ac.uk> Sender: netdev-owner@vger.kernel.org List-ID: This replaces assignments of the type "int on LHS" = "u8 on RHS" with simpler code. The LHS can express all of the unsigned right hand side values, hence the assigned value can not be negative.
