From mboxrd@z Thu Jan 1 00:00:00 1970 From: Octavian Purdila Subject: [PATCH 1/4] llc: use dev_hard_header Date: Fri, 4 Dec 2009 00:31:35 +0200 Message-ID: <1259879498-27860-2-git-send-email-opurdila@ixiacom.com> References: <1259879498-27860-1-git-send-email-opurdila@ixiacom.com> Cc: Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo To: opurdila@ixiacom.com, netdev@vger.kernel.org Return-path: Received: from ixro-out-rtc.ixiacom.com ([92.87.192.98]:20102 "EHLO ixro-ex1.ixiacom.com" rhost-flags-OK-OK-OK-FAIL) by vger.kernel.org with ESMTP id S1751954AbZLCWer (ORCPT ); Thu, 3 Dec 2009 17:34:47 -0500 In-Reply-To: <1259879498-27860-1-git-send-email-opurdila@ixiacom.com> Sender: netdev-owner@vger.kernel.org List-ID: Using dev_hard_header allows us to use LLC with VLANs and potentially other Ethernet/TokernRing specific encapsulations. It also removes code duplication between LLC and Ethernet/TokenRing core code.
