Class-Based Queueing (CBQ) scheduling support which you get if you
say Y to "QoS and/or fair queueing" above.
- To set up and configure shaper devices, you need the shapecfg
- program, available from <ftp://shadow.cabi.net/pub/Linux/> in the
- shaper package.
-
To compile this driver as a module, choose M here: the module
will be called shaper. If unsure, say N.

Surely it would be better to point to the new home of these tools rather
than removing the reference to them entirely?

shaper is completely obsolete and it's probably best to just remove
all references to it and the kernel driver too.

I would agree with that but it nees to go through a proper obsolesence
and obliteration cycle not just vanish.

I don't think they have a current home as such. I've got the scarabd tar
ball here so you can archive that somewhere on infradead if you'd rather
a reference remain.

If you know one I'm glad to rework my patch.
The Debian package lists as upstream a dead URL pointing to the SRPM for
the package in RedHat 9...
