From mboxrd@z Thu Jan 1 00:00:00 1970 From: Jussi Kivilinna Subject: [PATCH] asix: fix setting mac address for AX88772 Date: Wed, 10 Mar 2010 00:24:38 +0200 Message-ID: <20100309222438.10684.46211.stgit@fate.lan> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Cc: David Hollis , David Miller To: netdev@vger.kernel.org Return-path: Received: from saarni.dnainternet.net ([83.102.40.136]:57994 "EHLO saarni.dnainternet.net" rhost-flags-OK-OK-OK-OK) by vger.kernel.org with ESMTP id S1751494Ab0CIXNt (ORCPT ); Tue, 9 Mar 2010 18:13:49 -0500 Sender: netdev-owner@vger.kernel.org List-ID: Setting new MAC address only worked when device was set to promiscuous mode. Fix MAC address by writing new address to device using undocumented command AX_CMD_READ_NODE_ID+1. Patch is tested with AX88772 device.
